BUYER

Medtanken Group is a primary care provider in the Västra Götaland Region of Sweden with a strong local presence derived from 18 primary care clinics and one specialist care hospital. In addition to primary care, the group offers rehab clinics, specialist care within dermatology and cardiology, travel vaccination clinics, as well as occupational healthcare services and extended psychology services. The group had more than 110,000 listed patients and +500 full-time employees in 2021 while generating revenues of SEK +750 million.
Medtanken is owned by Procuritas, a mid-market Scandinavian private equity house with 318 MEUR in committed capital. Procuritas has to date completed over 40 buyouts with a combined consideration of more than SEK 12 billion.

TARGET

Hälsomedicinskt center i Sverige (HMC), founded in 2008, is a fast-growing primary care provider in Region Skåne. HMC has five primary care clinics in southwestern Skåne and approx. 150 employees. In addition to traditional primary care, the company also offers a range of other health care services such as pediatric, elderly and occupational healthcare. The company has more than 30,000 listed patients and annual turnover of SEK +200 million.
Following the acquisition, Medtanken Group has more than 140,000 listed patients and annual revenues of approx. 1bn SEK.

SELLERS

The company’s founder Anders Tegenrot together with the management team and a few angel investors who will remain as shareholders in the group.
